Deadly accident on board of the Dutch bark Marie en Pauline at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 28 September 1864

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 27th reported that on the 22nd at Hellevoetsluis the boatswain of the Dutch bark ship Marie en Pauline captain Poulsen mortally was wounded and finally died with a broken back leaving a wife and 4 children behind. The bark owned by W.J. Hidde Bok of Nieuwediep was underway with a cargo of timber from Riga, Latvia towards Dordrecht, Netherlands and was lowering her anchor when the boatswain was struck between the chain and the winch causing his injuries.
