Dutch brig Zr.Ms. Vliegende Visch launched at Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 20 June 1829

An item dated Rotterdam, Netherlands the 17th reported the launching of the Dutch 14-gun brig Zr.Ms. Vliegende Visch at the navy yard.(1)

1. Laid down on 25 July 1826 by P. Glavimans, 14 guns, 46-56 men, speed 9-10½ knots and stricken and broken up in 1847. Decision 11 March 1826 no. 70 ordered the building of a brig to serve as patrol vessel in the Dutch West Indies to be named Vliegende Visch and to be armed with 12-12 pd carronades and 2-6pd guns.
