German bark Julie Michels safely arrived at Terschelling, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 14 January 1865

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 13th referred to tidings from Terschelling, Netherlands the 11th reporting that on the 10th the bark ship Julie Michels captain J.U. Dade jr. of Mecklenburg with the support of pilot vessels safely arrived in the harbour despite her draught of more as 4,1 metres. She was underway with a cargo of linseed from Taganrog, Russia towards Grimsby, England when she met a hurricane. The crew was forced to cut her masts and it was feared that her cargo was damaged and needed to be unloaded.
