British 5th rate HMS Mersey visited Willemstad, Curcaao according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 25 July 1829

An item reported the departure from Willemstad, Curacao on Wednesday the 22nd of the corvette HMS Mercey captain Courtenay towards Bonaire, Dutch West Indies.(1)

1. The 5th rate Mersey of 451 tons, launched in March 1814 at the shipyard of Courtney, Chester, England, broken up in July 1852 and armed with 18-32pd carronades, 8-12pd carronades and 2-6pd guns.
