American whaler Solon lying in April at Cape de Verde according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 7 June 1864

An item referred to a letter dated 12th April written by captain Barstow on board of the bark Solon of New Bedford, USA reported her lying at St. Nichols, Cape de Verde where 100 barrels of humpback oil was unloaded. She was now bound for the Western Ground. Agents J.&W.R. Wing. Measured 129 tons. Departed on 23 December 1863 to the Atlantic.
