An item referred to a letter written on 2nd March by captain Willard on board of the bark Washington of New Bedford, USA at Mouganui [Mangoniu, New Zealand?] reporting everything well on board and that she was bound Northwards. Measured 844 tons. Agent Jonathan Bourne jr. Departed on 23 July 1861 to the Indian Ocean and the Pacific.
