British brig sloop HMS Philomel arrived in Brits Indies coming from South Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Java Government Gazette dated 4 November 1815

An item reported the arrival at Madras, British Indies on the 13th of the British sloop HMS Philomel captain J.H. Plumridge leaving Cape of Good Hope, South Africa on 3rd June.(1)
