British HMS brig sloop Philomel arrived at Calcutta, British Indies coming from Madras, British Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java Government Gazette dated 23 March 1816

An item reported the arrival at Calcutta/Kedgeree, British Indies on 18th January of the British sloop HMS Philomel captain Plumridge coming from Madras.(1)
