Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Hippomenes serving in the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Goessche Courant dated 1 June 1840

An item reported that the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Hippomenes captain J.W. Moll departed on 28 November 1839 Padang, Dutch East Indies arriving on 15th December in the roads of Batavia, Dutch East Indies and later departed towards the island Onrust, Dutch East Indies to be repaired.(1)
