French whaler le Dunquerquois active in Australian waters according to the Dutch newspaper Goessche Courant dated 21 january 1841

An item reported that the French whaler le Dunquerquois captain le Cozamet was successful. She left Le Havre, France on 30 May 1839, visited Cape of Good Hope and within 5 months was her cargo filled near the coast of Nieuw Holland [Australia]. The ship returned via Cape Horn arriving after one year and 8 days with 2.000 barrels of train oil.
