Merchants of Danish town Nyborg fitted out a Greenland seal hunter according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 29 July 1760

An item dated Copenhagen, Denmark referred to a tiding received from Nyborg that a ship of 50 last fitted out by a company of merchants returned from Greenland with on board 180 quardelen seals blubber (each quardeel equal to two tons of oil) and 3.400 sealskins. It was hoped that other Danish sea towns decided to fitted yearly at least each one ship.
