British East India Company expecting several ships and paid the British squadron with the money received from the Nabob of Bengal according to the Dutch newspaper Leydse courant dated 28 October 1767

An item dated London, England 23rd reported that the amount of money supplied by the Nabob of Bengal to be used for the British squadron would be dived over the officers and crews by the British East India Company. The East Indiaman ship Piggot arrived at Spithead, England coming from Bengal.  The British East India Company expected that year the arrival of three more of the ships returning from the Indies and China.
