Dutch East Indiamen Mercuur and Held Woltemade underway to respectively Bengal and Ceylon according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 27 December 1780

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 20th reported the departure of the Dutch East Indiaman Mercuur captain C. Roem towards Bengal and the Held Woltemade captain S. Vrolyk towards Ceylon, both of the chamber Amsterdam. The Dutch East Indiaman Vriendschap of the chamber Hoorn still at sea anchored outside ‘s Lands Diep.
