Dutch whaler Dirkje Adema underway from the Netherlands towards the Arctic Ocean according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 2 March 1863

An item dated Harlingen, Netherlands 27th reported that the Dutch frigate Dirkje Adema captain Wildst that morning departed with a crew numbering 54 men towards the Arctic Ocean for whaling and seal hunting.
