British armed cutter Constitution temporarily in French hands according to the Dutch newspaper Haagsche courant dated 26 January 1801

An item reported that the British armed cutter Constitution was captured in the Channel on the 9th by two 14-gun French cutters but recaptured the same day by the British and sent tp Weymouth, England.
