French 14-gun privateer le Maringo captured the British merchant ships Plenry and Robert and Margaret according to the Dutch newspaper Haagsche courant dated 26 January 1801

An item reported that the French 14-gun privateer le Maringo captured the British merchant ships Plenry coming from Dantzig [Gdansk nowadays Poland] and the Robert and Margaret coming from Memel [nowadays Klaipeda, Lithuania], both bound for London, England. The first ships was taken into Stavanger, Norway.
