French privateer captured the British ship Active according to the Dutch newspaper Utrechtse courant dated 7 March 1806

An item reported that a French privateer captured the British ship Active captain Silcock underway from Demerara [Guyana] towards Bristol, England. The Active was later recaptured by a British privateer of Guernsey and taken to Guernsey. The French privateer seemed to captured another three West Indiamen.
