French privateer la Confiance captured the British ship Bryan according to the Dutch newspaper Utrechtse courant dated 7 March 1806

An item reported that French privateer la Confiance captured the British ship Bryan underway from Dublin, Ireland to the West Indies. She was later recaptured by a British gun brig and taken to Guernsey.
