An item reported the intended departure on 1 June from Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands of the Dutch steamship Zr. Ms. Merapi towards the Dutch East Indies. It was possible to sent mail with her, which had to be handed over at the post office at Hellevoetsluis on 31 May.(1)

Stoomboot Mij. to deliver on 15 April 1843engines and boilers for ƒ 152.500,00, barque-rigged and 220 hp horsepower.
