An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 1st reported the departure of the French steam warship le Guichen captain Le Fort towards France.(1)

Wood-hulled sloop with barque rigging of the Guicen-class, laid down at Rochefort, France on 1 October 1863, launched on 19 October 1865, commissioned on 6 November 1866 and finally stricken on 19 November 1888. Original armament 1-6.4’/16cm gun and 4-4.7”/12cm guns later replaced by 1-6.4”/16cm gun and 2-5.5”/14cm guns. Speed 10.7 knots.
