Project 775 Ropucha II landing ships. Launched at the Stocznia Polnocna shipyard, Gdanks, Poland as BDK-46 with yard number 775/25 on 17 April 1987 and commissioned on 30 November 1987. Since July 2002 named Novocherkassk. Hull numbers in 1987 108 and since 1 May 1989 142. General specifications: a displacement of 2.768 (standard)-4.012 (full load) tons and as dimensions 112,5 x 15,01 x 4,26 metres. Speed 17,59 knots. A range of 4.000 nautical miles with a speed o 1 2knots, 3.500 nautical miles with 16 knots and 3.400 nautical miles full speed. Her crew numbers 98 men. Cargo capacity 10 main battle tanks or 12 BTR with 340 military, a mix of tanks and army trucks with 313 military of just 500 tons cargo. Main armament consists of 2x 2-5,7cm guns, one turret fore and one aft.
