Warships and transports fitted out in French harbours for China expedition according to the Dutch newspapers De Tijd dated 29 September 1859

An item reported that the preparations in England and France for the expedition towards Chine were continued. At Toulon, France arrived 8 transports and 4 frigates to be armed while in other French harbours ships were fitted out to be used as troop transports.
