Dutch navy considering buying new amphibious planes according to the Dutch newspaper Het vrije volk dated 30 September 1958

An item reported that the Royal Netherlands Navy considered buying new amphibious planes for her Netherlands Naval Aviation Service (MLD) to replace the aged Martin Mariner flying boats. Although there was yet no preference for a type although it was possible that again was chosen for Martin Mariners.
