Armament for British battleship HMS Implacable available to be mounted according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1900 no. 7

An item reported that for the British battleship 1st class HMS Implacable 12-15cm guns arrived at Devonport, England. Her complete armament of 36 guns of different calibres and 8 Maxim guns were now available to be mounted on board. The 15cm L/45 guns were much shorter of the usual 15cm quick firing guns and of new type and to be fitted in 15cm armoured casemates on the upper deck.(1)

1, Built as part of the Formidable-class battleships under the 1897 Program. Laid down at the Devonport Dockyard, England on 13 July 1898, launched on 11 March 1899, completed in July 1901, commissioned on 10 September 1901, decommissioned in 1919 and finally sold to be broken up on 8 November 1921. Main armament consisted of 2x2-30,5/12” breech loading guns. The 12cm/6” 45 guns were of the MkV II type.
