British cruiser 3rd class HMS Pandora executed trials according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1901 no. 3

An item reported that the British cruiser 3rd class HMS Pandora as the last of the Pelorus-class her 30 hours trial executed with half power and with 195rpm abd 3.638 ihp was a medium speed of 16,7 knots achieved. Coal consumption 0.949 kg/ihp. Fitted out with Belleville boilers.(1)

1. Of the Pelorus 3rd class protected cruisers designed by Sir William White using the Pearl-class cruisers design. Building ordered under the Spencer Programme in 1893. The Pelorus-class became obsolete even for the ships were completed due to the technical innovations in the period. The class consisted of the Pactolus, Pandora, Pegasus, Pelorus, Perseus, Pioneer, Pomone, Prometheus, Proserpine, Psyche and Pyramus. Pandora laid down at the Portsmouth Dockyard, England on 3 January 1898, launched on 17 January 1913 and sold to be broken up in July 1913.
