Russian cruiser Gromoboi heavily damaged according to the Dutch newspaper Soerabaijasch handelsblad dated 15 November 1904


An item reported that the Russian cruiser Gromoboi (1) of the Vladivostok-squadron  after being repaired executing a trial hit a rock and was again heavily damaged. In sinking condition was she again docked.(2)

1. Armoured cruiser preceded by he Rossia and succeeded by the Bayan-class. Laid down at Baltic Works, St. Petersburg, Russia on 14 June 1897, launched on 8 May 1899, commissioned in November 1899 and sold to be broken up on 1 July 1922.
