British merchant ships fitted out with anti submarine armament according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 2 September 1915

An item reported that the British merchant ships underway towards England, Colombo (Ceylon) and Port Said (Egypt) were fitted out with guns and gunners as protection against German submarines.
